Homelessness is a global problem. Both the causes and the results have expanded locally and globally. However, in the United States at least 3.5 million people face homelessness each year (Overview of Homelessness in America, n.d.). According to the National Student Campaign to Fight Hunger and Homelessness, the greatest growth has occurred with children and families. Many are facing poverty and homelessness, but the causes are becoming an interactional issue (Health Care, 2013).
