Stanley and Stella is the couple that portrays a corrupt love. Stella is a genuine person and has the best morals of any character in the play. She is married to Stanley who is a violent, sexual, brutal slob but is passionate with his wife. Stella is torn between her sister Blanche and Stanley. Stanley and Blanche envy each other because Blanche wants her sister to find a better man. Later Stella becomes pregnant with a baby and Stanley returns home to find Blanche drunk alone. Blanche and Stanley argue and Blanche threatens him with a broken bottle. Stanley then declared, “Oh! So you want some violence! Okay, let's get a little confused (Page 1256 Line 145).” Stanley grabbed Blanche and began to rape her. Blanche tried to explain to Stella what her husband did to her but Stella didn't believe her and took her husband's side. Blanche was eventually taken away from them to an asylum. Stanley lied to Blanche and told her she was going off with a millionaire. Stella cries as Blanche leaves and Stanley comforts her by slowly moving his fingers up her blouse to her breasts. Stanley lied and destroyed Stella and Blanche's relationship. Stella and Stanley's false love leads to Blanche being raped and locked up in an asylum. Stella was confused by all the ugly lies Stanley told and would always be sexual with his wife,
