Fairy tales are usually associated with the division between real life and happy endings. A good character and a bad character clash at some point in the story, leaving the good character with a choice that helps or hurts him. Reading Cinderella emphasizes real-life events and her happy ending as a sign of hope in her unfortunate lifestyle. Cinderella makes the decision to disobey her stepmother and go to the ball, and that decision to rebel against her guardian figure ultimately led to a good outcome, which is finding her Prince Charming. In this situation Cinderella is the good character who normally always does what she is told even through harsh mistreatment from her stepmother, leaving her stepmother and stepsisters as evil figures. Reading fairy tales often leads you to incorporate real-life situations into the stories you read and apply the lessons learned in your life. Stories allow us to expand our imagination and give us hope to create our own fairy tale ending through the characters' strengths in the difficult situations they find themselves in. Fairy tales are important because they give you a sense of longing for freedom, which most children can feel. relate to society. Many people can compare their lives to fairy tales, which allows them to better understand the direction in which the story is leading and to understand the desire for hope and freedom unleashed by good character. Reading children's stories even as an adult can provide you with a temporary escape from reality, which is another reason why I believe fairy tale stories can have such an impact on both adults and children of all ages. This being the case, I believe that fairy tales can apply to people of all ages and can never be “grown out… in the middle of the paper… with many different theories of interpretation. Overall, fairy tales are very intriguing and allow readers to expand their imagination to create meanings and morals given in fairy tales that will give them a sense of hope for their future.
